Preview: Springfield vs. Murray County Central
On Friday Springfield take on Murray County Central at 7:00 PM. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes : the MaxPreps state rankings predict a close match.
It was close but no cigar for Springfield as they fell 35-38 to Ortonville last week. Springfield got a solid performance out of junior Decker Scheffler, who picked up 130 yards on the ground and accumulated 244 passing yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the win.
Meanwhile, Murray County Central had to kick off their season on the road, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 19-6.
Murray County Central's victory lifted them to 1-0 while Springfield's defeat dropped them down to 0-1. We'll find out if Murray County Central can add another positive mark to their record or if Springfield can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Murray County Central's step.
