Softball Recap: Eagle Grove's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Garner-Hayfield/Ventura on Monday, Eagle Grove came back down to earth. The Eagles took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Union Warriors on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 back in June.

Eagle Grove's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for North Union, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Eagle Grove didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 8-0 win against North Iowa on the 2nd. As for North Union, they have also already played their next game, a 5-1 defeat against Estherville Lincoln Central on the 2nd.
