Parkway West suffers third straight loss on the road

Recap: Parkway West HOYAS vs. Masterman

The Parkway West HOYAS were the 39-36 winner over Masterman when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Parkway West was dealt a 51-22 defeat at the hands of Masterman on Friday. Parkway West's loss keeps them winless this season.

Parkway West's loss came despite strong showings from Namira Bryant and Kemba Brown. Bryant scored 10 points, while Brown scored 11 points. Bryant scored a full 45.5% of Parkway West's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Jocelyn Goldstein was the offensive standout of the contest as she scored 25 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Masterman's points. Sophia Brunelli was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.

The last time Parkway West won on the road was back on Monday. Having now lost three straight away matchups, they've bumped their record down to 0-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Masterman, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Parkway West will take on MAST Community Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Masterman, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Frankford at 3:15 p.m. on December 11th. Frankford will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
