It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Murray County ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won by a goal and slipped past the North Cobb Christian Eagles 2-1. The win was nothing new for Murray County as they're now sitting on six straight.

Julio Escobar and Seth Hendrickson scored both of Murray County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 22 goals.

Murray County pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those three matches. As for North Cobb Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season.
