Recap: Grand Terrace Titans vs. Rim of the World Fighting Scots

The Grand Terrace Titans entered their tilt with the Rim of the World Fighting Scots with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Grand Terrace enjoyed a cozy 50-36 win over Rim of the World on Thursday. Given Grand Terrace's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 432nd, while Rim of the World is ranked 1189th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Grand Terrace got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jayleen Barajas out in front who scored 25 points along with four steals. Barajas is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikhia Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.

Grand Terrace has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Rim of the World, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Grand Terrace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rim of the World will head out on the road to take on Colton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Colton's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Rim of the World has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
