Basketball Game Preview: Lower Lake Trojans vs. Middletown Mustangs

Lower Lake hasn't had much luck against Middletown recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lower Lake Trojans will square off against the Middletown Mustangs at 6:00 p.m.

Last Saturday, Lower Lake ended up a good deal behind Ygnacio Valley and lost 56-40.

Meanwhile, Middletown came into Thursday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They rang in the new year with a 47-34 victory over Concord on Thursday. The Mustangs pushed the score to 38-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bears cut but never quite recovered from.

Middletown's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Lower Lake, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Lower Lake took a serious blow against Middletown in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, falling 58-25. Can Lower Lake avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
