It was a proper cat-fight when Warrensburg duked it out with Clinton on Friday. The Tigers walked away with a 28-21 win over the Cardinals. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Cardinals: they've now won eight in a row.

Clinton's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Barnhart, who rushed for 68 yards and a pair of scores, and also picked up 30 receiving yards. Camden Westendorff was another key player, throwing for 184 yards on eight of 18 attempts.

Warrensburg's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Clinton, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Warrensburg will welcome Oak Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Clinton, they are taking a road trip to square off against Center at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals will be up against the Yellowjackets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.13 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
