Basketball Recap: Amador Takes a Loss

Amador was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a hard 49-31 fall against the Argonaut Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 30-26 back in January.

Argonaut was led to victory by Alayna Critchfield and Cienna Yelinek. Critchfield dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 rebounds, while Yelinek dropped a double-double with ten points and ten boards. What's more, Yelinek also racked up six steals, the most she's had since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Avila, who posted nine points.

Amador's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Argonaut, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Amador nor Argonaut have any future games scheduled.
