Basketball Game Preview: Alta Hawks vs. Viewmont Vikings

The Alta Hawks will head out to take on the Viewmont Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alta has given up an average of 64.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Wednesday, Alta didn't have quite enough to beat Woods Cross and fell 75-72. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), the Hawks still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Viewmont came up short against Brighton on Tuesday and fell 48-41. The game marked the Vikings' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Alta will have to contain Carson Tovey as he made an impact in Viewmont's last game. He posted 15 points and five steals. With that strong performance, Tovey is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Bromley, who scored eight points.

Viewmont dropped their record down to 8-10 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Alta, their loss dropped their record down to 11-7.

Alta couldn't quite get it done against Viewmont when the teams last played on January 7th as they fell 70-58. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
