Soccer Game Preview: Rochelle Zell Jewish vs. Westmont

The Rochelle Zell Jewish Tigers will challenge the Westmont Sentinels at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Rochelle Zell Jewish barely beat Fasman Yeshiva the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers put the hurt on Fasman Yeshiva with a sharp 4-1 victory on Sunday. The high-scoring effort was just what Rochelle Zell Jewish needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Westmont). They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over College Prep of America on Tuesday. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Rochelle Zell Jewish is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 17 goals over those five matches. As for Westmont, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Rochelle Zell Jewish might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Westmont in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
