Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Briarwood Academy walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Southland Academy Raiders on Friday as they made off with a 7-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Briarwood Academy and bumps their season record up to 13-9. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 6 runs in those games. As for Southland Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9.

Coming up, Briarwood Academy will take on Edmund Burke Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Southland Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
