Soccer Recap: El Camino Real Comes Up Short

El Camino Real lost against Cleveland two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The El Camino Real Royals fell just short of the Cleveland Cavaliers by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Cavaliers are ranked 63rd).

This is the second loss in a row for El Camino Real and nudges their season record down to 9-6. As for Cleveland, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season.

El Camino Real wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Taft on the 12th. As for Cleveland, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against New West Charter at 3:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with New West Charter sitting on 11 straight victories and Cleveland on eight.
