Recap: Serra Cavaliers vs. St. Monica Mariners
The Serra Cavaliers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 58-48 to St. Monica. While losing is never fun, Serra can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 810th, while St. Monica is ranked 238th).
Serra's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jadah Foster, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 5 assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaicia Snelson, who scored 13 points.
Serra's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for St. Monica, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Serra will take on Mary Star of the Sea at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Monica, they will stay at home for another game and welcome La Habra at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th.
