Wharton extended their winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Brandon Sims Jr. The Tigers really took it to the Hempstead Bobcats for the full four quarters, racking up a 45-9 victory with plenty of help from Sims Jr, who rushed for 230 yards and three scores while picking up 11.0 yards per carry. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 107.8 rushing yards per game.

Wharton's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Hempstead, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wharton will challenge Columbia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Hempstead, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Thorndale at 7:00 p.m.
