It was a good run, but Tift County unfortunately witnessed the end of their nine-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Camden County Wildcats by a score of 4-3. The Blue Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 8-3.

Lily Robinson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Tift County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Brey, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Braylin Dorden also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Tift County's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 11-1 and their overall record down to 16-3. As for Camden County, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 11-12.
