Soccer Recap: San Ysidro Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact San Ysidro can now relate to. They came up short against the Brawley Wildcats on Tuesday, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 792nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 354th).

San Ysidro's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Brawley, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

San Ysidro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brawley, they will challenge Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
