Soccer Recap: Piedmont Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Piedmont can now relate to. They fell 2-0 to the Pinole Valley Spartans on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty five goals in the game before, the Highlanders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Piedmont's loss dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Pinole Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 12-9 record this season.

Piedmont does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pinole Valley, they will face off against Sonoma Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sonoma Valley will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Pinole Valley surely won't give up without a fight.
