Softball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Northeast

Northeast waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Monticello Panthers by a score of 6-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-7 on Thursday.

Northeast's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Monticello, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season.

Northeast has already played their next game (against Mid-Prairie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Monticello, they will challenge Maquoketa at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
