Soccer Game Preview: Jasper County vs. Lamar County

Jasper County is 2-7 against Lamar County since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Jasper County Hurricanes will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lamar County Trojans at 7:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty goal totals in their previous games.

Jasper County took a five-goal defeat the last time they faced off against Social Circle, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Jasper County narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Social Circle 4-3.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lamar County, who bounced back after a loss on the road two weeks ago. They walked away with a 5-3 victory over Putnam County on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Trojans' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Putnam County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Caleb Miller (2), Asier Di Toro (2), and Tanner Garvin.

Jasper County's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those three contests. As for Lamar County, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
