Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Academy of the New Church). They claimed a resounding 59-24 win over Abington Friends. The victory was some much needed relief for the Lions as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Academy of the New Church was led to victory by Ava Teich and Jamie Madara. Teich posted 22 points, while Madara dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayda Mayo, who scored seven points and seven assists.

Academy of the New Church smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Academy of the New Church's win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-12. As for Abington Friends, they are on a 20-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.
