Softball Recap: Spalding Comes Up Short

Spalding managed to slip by Callaway the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Jaguars lost 15-3 to the Cavaliers on Monday. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spalding saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ra'Khiya Duffie, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. Duffie is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Spalding's defeat dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Callaway, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-10 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Spalding will square off against Fayette County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Callaway, they will be playing at home against Rutland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
