Softball Recap: Telfair County Has No Trouble Against Johnson County

Telfair County came out on top against Johnson County on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. Telfair County put the hurt on Johnson County with a sharp 9-1 win. The result was nothing new for Telfair County, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Journee Kennedy was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Perry Grace DeLoach was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Telfair County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. The last time their batting average was this high was back in August.

Telfair County's victory bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Johnson County, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Looking ahead, Telfair County will head out on the road to face off against Clinch County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Trojans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Panthers have averaged an impressive 10.2 runs per game this season. As for Johnson County, they will host Swainsboro at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
