Baseball Game Preview: Putnam County War Eagles vs. McNair Mustangs

The Putnam County War Eagles will challenge the McNair Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last four games Putnam County has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Putnam County fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Jasper County on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Hurricanes by a score of 7-6. That's two games in a row now that the War Eagles have lost by just one run.

Tanner Lukens made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, McNair was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Jasper County, falling 25-0.

McNair's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Putnam County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season.
