Sumter County's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Kendrick Cherokees a 26-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four matches by ten runs or more so far this season.

Sumter County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Kendrick, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Sumter County is set to square off against their familiar foe Columbus at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kendrick will take on rival Hardaway at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
