Soccer Recap: Columbus Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Columbus challenged Mt. Pleasant on Monday. The Wildcats lost 9-0 to the Panthers. If Columbus were looking for revenge after losing 4-1 to Mt. Pleasant when the teams met back in April of 2019, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Columbus and nudges their season record down to 1-2. As for Mt. Pleasant, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Columbus will challenge Mid-Prairie at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbus are facing Mid-Prairie at the right time seeing as Mid-Prairie are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Mt. Pleasant, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-0 win against Winfield-Mt. Union on the 7th.
