Hopkins scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Beasley scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three hits gave Hopkins a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jimmy Anderson, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cornerstone Prep Academy). They had just enough and edged out Johnson Ferry Christian Academy 17-16 on Monday. With that victory, the Cougars brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
Madden Ruplin was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Cornerstone Prep Academy is 3-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 0-7 otherwise. Ruplin was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, Ben Curry was a standout: he went a perfect 5-for-5 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Isaiah Stahl was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
The King's Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Cornerstone Prep Academy, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. The King's Academy has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cornerstone Prep Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
