Boron is 10-0 against Mammoth since January of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Boron Bobcats will challenge the Mammoth Huskies at 6:00 p.m. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Boron and four for Mammoth.

Boron is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Kern Valley on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Boron lost 56-33 to Kern Valley. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1127th, while the Broncs are ranked 446th).

Meanwhile, Mammoth came up short against Trona on Thursday and fell 32-25.

Mammoth's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Boron, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Boron strolled past Mammoth in their previous matchup on January 7th by a score of 38-22. The rematch might be a little tougher for Boron since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
