Baseball Recap: Trion Comes Up Short

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Trion was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They fell just short of the Darlington Tigers by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Tigers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-1 back in February.

This is the second loss in a row for Trion and nudges their season record down to 12-6. As for Darlington, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-13.

Looking ahead, Trion will take on Pepperell at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 9.4 runs per game this season. As for Darlington, they will square off against Christian Heritage at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Lions will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
