Shawnee Mission East proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Olathe Northwest Ravens 3-2. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Shawnee Mission East's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Olathe Northwest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-5.
