Basketball Recap: Washington Takes a Loss

Washington lost against Seton LaSalle back in January of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Washington Prexies took a blow against the Seton LaSalle Rebels, falling 75-37. The Prexies were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-25.

Washington's loss came despite strong showings from Olivia Woods and Kayli Wynn. Woods almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards, while Wynn posted four points and five rebounds. That was a full 40.5% of Washington's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

Washington's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Seton LaSalle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-3.

Washington won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McGuffey at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Seton LaSalle, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Avella at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
