Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jocelyn Guadalupe and Jayleen Roldan Lead Santa Ana Valley to Victory

After losing to Rancho Alamitos the last time they met, Santa Ana Valley decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Santa Ana Valley Falcons skirted past the Rancho Alamitos Vaqueros 46-44.

Leading Santa Ana Valley to victory were Jayleen Roldan and Jocelyn Guadalupe. Roldan posted 20 points, while Guadalupe had 16 points. Another player making a difference was Maria Guadalupe Aburto, who earned five points.

Santa Ana Valley pushed their record up to 6-11 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Rancho Alamitos, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.

Santa Ana Valley will head out to face off against La Quinta at 4:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Rancho Alamitos, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Western at 6:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
