Basketball Game Preview: JSerra Catholic Lions vs. Orange Lutheran Lancers

JSerra Catholic hasn't had much luck against Orange Lutheran recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The JSerra Catholic Lions will venture away from home to face off against the Orange Lutheran Lancers at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in JSerra Catholic's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matches.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for JSerra Catholic against Pacifica Christian/Orange County as the team secured a 72-28 win. Given the Lions' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Tritons are ranked 284th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Orange Lutheran strolled past Brea Olinda with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 46-27. The Lancers pushed the score to 33-13 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wildcats cut but never quite recovered from.

Orange Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for JSerra Catholic, their record now sits at 10-8.

JSerra Catholic suffered a grim 72-48 defeat to Orange Lutheran in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can JSerra Catholic avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
