Basketball Recap: California Wins Going Away Against Bentworth

California won the last time they faced Bentworth and things went their way on Thursday too. The California Trojans were the clear victor by a 51-30 margin over the Bentworth Bearcats. The Trojans pushed the score to 41-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bearcats cut but never quite recovered from.

When it comes to explaining why Bentworth lost, don't look at Elizabeth Wade. Despite the final result, she posted ten points in addition to seven steals and five rebounds. Those seven steals gave Wade a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jesse Laskey, who scored seven points along with six boards and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for California and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Bentworth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-12.
