Softball Game Preview: Mountain View Bears vs. Peachtree Ridge Lions

The Mountain View Bears will take on the Peachtree Ridge Lions at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Mountain View can't be too happy about their upcoming road game considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Thursday. They fell 5-2 to Seckinger. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it 16 in a row.

Mountain View saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lily Harkness, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Cherokee Bluff hit Peachtree Ridge with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lions lost 11-3 to the Bears.

Mountain View took their victory against Peachtree Ridge in their previous matchup back in August of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
