Baseball Recap: Hercules' Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Hercules waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Swett Warriors 13-1. That's two games straight that the Titans have won by exactly 12 runs.

Hercules let Noah Ledesma and Jason Kao run wild. Ledesma scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2, while Kao went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two runs. Ledesma is becoming a predictor of Hercules' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 6-7-2 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of William Hobbs, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Hercules kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matches.

The victory got Hercules back to even at 8-8-2. As for Swett, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

Hercules will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Warriors: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
