Basketball Game Preview: Vacaville Bulldogs vs. Sacramento Dragons

Two dominant guards in Lula Kifle and La Ne Dunn are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Vacaville Bulldogs will square off against the Sacramento Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sacramento took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Vacaville, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Vacaville needed a bit of extra time to put away Wood. They snuck past the Wildcats with a 46-41 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bulldogs.

Vacaville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kifle led the charge by putting up eight points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Gentry, who posted ten points.

Meanwhile, Sacramento was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 53-48 to Pioneer. While the Dragons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Patriots 17-13 in the first quarter.

Vacaville's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Sacramento, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-7.

Vacaville opened the new year with a less-than-successful 61-48 defeat to Sacramento. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Dunn, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten steals.
