Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Portola). They took their contest on Wednesday with ease, bagging a 79-21 victory over the Williams Yellowjackets. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won five in a row.

Williams lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Giselle Torres Salazar, who posted six points.

Portola's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.8 points over those games. As for Williams, they are on a 32-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-20.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers face off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Williams, they will challenge Biggs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
