Baseball Recap: Grayling Comes Up Short

If Grayling was feeling good fresh off their 9-1 takedown of Houghton Lake on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Vikings came up short against the Rudyard Bulldogs on Saturday, falling 18-6. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Grayling now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Rudyard, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grayling will welcome Charlevoix at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Rudyard, they will square off against Brimley at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
