Softball Game Preview: Orchard Farm Eagles vs. Holt Indians

The Orchard Farm Eagles will face off against the Holt Indians at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Orchard Farm will be strutting in after a win while Holt will be coming in after a defeat.

Orchard Farm is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 15-5 margin over Valley Park on Wednesday. The Eagles not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 1, 2024 (when they won 12-2).

Winfield hit Holt with a five-run third inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Indians came up short against the Warriors, falling 12-2. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost four in a row.

Laney Thompson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two doubles and one run.

Holt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Orchard Farm, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
