Basketball Preview: Marysville Indians vs. Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos

Marysville is 3-0 against the Raging Rhinos since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Marysville Indians will head out on the road to square off against the Twelve Bridges Raging Rhinos at 5:30 p.m. Marysville will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

Even though Marysville has not done well against the Falcons recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Marysville slipped by the Falcons 38-37.

Marysville relied on the efforts of Krystal Briggs, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, and Abigail Pietz, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine steals. Pietz is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Demi Boykin was another key contributor, scoring six points along with five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Twelve Bridges scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 68-46 margin over Wheatland. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Twelve Bridges.

Marysville is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for Twelve Bridges, they pushed their record up to 10-14 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Everything came up roses for Marysville against the Raging Rhinos when the teams last played back in January as the squad secured a 50-14 victory. With Marysville ahead 24-2 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
