Basketball Recap: West Park Comes Up Short

West Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the McClatchy Lions 100-23. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 387th, while the Lions are ranked 17th).

West Park lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Jill Ngo, who posted eight points.

West Park's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for McClatchy, their win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-6.

West Park didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 72-44 loss against Kennedy on the 11th. As for McClatchy, they have also already played their next game, a 67-51 victory against Grant on the 11th.
