Baseball Recap: East Jackson Has No Trouble Against Johnson

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Banks County, East Jackson was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They never let the Johnson Knights get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. That looming 9-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Jayden Nunez looked comfortable as he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bryse Patterson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. Walker Mauldin was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

East Jackson's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games.
