After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Iowa City West, Xavier was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Janesville Wildcats a 3-0 shutout. Xavier might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by three goals or more this season.

Xavier's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those three contests. As for Janesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6-2.

Xavier wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Wapsie Valley on the 2nd. As for Janesville, they will take on Postville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Janesville will need to watch out since Postville have now posted at least four goals in their last three matchups.
