Softball Recap: Mercy Takes a Loss

After flying high against Platteview on Thursday, Mercy came back down to earth. The Monarchs lost 7-0 to the Ralston Rams on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in September.

Mercy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rae Carmichael, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

Mercy has also been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 18 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-23 record this season. As for Ralston, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-6.

As of now, neither Mercy nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
