Softball Game Preview: Highland Prep West HORNETS vs. Kingman Academy Tigers

The Highland Prep West HORNETS will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Kingman Academy Tigers at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Highland Prep West is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They lost 23-5 to Antelope on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Kingman Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They came up short against Mohave Accelerated on Wednesday, falling 14-2. The loss continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now lost five in a row.

Kingman Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Taylor, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
