Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Monte Vista). They never let the Livermore Cowboys onto the board and left with a 4-0 win on Tuesday. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 179th, while the Cowboys are ranked 605th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Monte Vista is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-3-3 record this season. As for Livermore, they dropped their record down to 2-11-1 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Monte Vista will venture away from home to challenge San Ramon Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Monte Vista sitting on three straight victories and San Ramon Valley on six. Livermore has already played their next game (against Granada), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
