Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Heritage Christian). They breezed by the Gilpin County Eagles to the tune of 86-12 on Thursday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 50-9.
Heritage Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Levi Hermsen, who went 8 of 11 en route to 16 points along with five assists and four steals. Hermsen's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alec Lundy, who went 8 for 14 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds.
