Softball Recap: Pueblo West's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Pueblo West extended their winning streak to four on Saturday, bumping them up to 14-6. They never let the Vista Ridge Wolves get on the board and left with a 9-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cyclones, who have now won 12 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Kassidy Donley's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kinsley Stiner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Bella Gregory was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Pueblo West hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least three batters in six consecutive matchups.

As for Vista Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-5. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, their shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

On Vista Ridge's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaliyah Garcia, who went 1-for-4 with one double.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pueblo West will face off against Pueblo Centennial at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vista Ridge, they will square off against Falcon at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
