Basketball Recap: Rancho Dominguez Lobos vs. Narbonne Gauchos
The Rancho Dominguez Lobos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight defeat. They took a hard 61-45 fall against Narbonne. Rancho Dominguez has not had much luck with the Gauchos recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Despite the loss, Rancho Dominguez still got an impressive performance from Audrey Baker, who dropped a double-double on 43 points and 15 rebounds. That was a full 95.6% of Rancho Dominguez's points, marking the 19th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Mikea'lynn Bailey, who scored no points along with ten rebounds and two blocks.
Even though they lost, Rancho Dominguez smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive rebounds. This was only their 11th loss (out of 16 games) when they hit their own glass that hard.
Rancho Dominguez has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Narbonne, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-16.
Rancho Dominguez does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Narbonne also has no future games currently scheduled.
