Soccer Game Preview: Brawley vs. Yuma Catholic

Brawley and Yuma Catholic are an even 3-3 against one another since December of 2018, but likely not for long. The Brawley Wildcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Yuma Catholic Shamrocks at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Brawley will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

It was a proper cat-fight when Brawley duked it out withImperial on Tuesday. Brawley came out on top in a nail-biter against Imperial, sneaking past 2-1.

Evelyn Murrieta and Kaylene Ojeda scored both of Brawley's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, Yuma Catholic kept a clean sheet against Kingman on Monday. They blew past the Bulldogs 17-0. Considering the Shamrocks have won three matches by more than seven goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Brawley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5-1. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those five games. As for Yuma Catholic, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Brawley skirted past Yuma Catholic 1-0 in their previous matchup back in December of 2024. Does Brawley have another victory up their sleeve, or will Yuma Catholic turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
